I am a soft pastel artist, also using hard pastels and pastel pencil, and almost exclusively creating animal portraits. What inspires me is how individual and beautiful each living being truly is, and there is an indefinable connection that I feel with a particular animal that leads me to paint their portrait. I consider myself an artivist as well as a companion animal portrait painter, and use all vegan art supplies, donating profits to animal advocacy organizations and animal sanctuaries. My goal is not only to create art, but also to raise awareness for animals and for organizations who protect them, to try to touch people’s hearts and ignite hope for a more peaceful world where all animals are respected.
